YARD WASTE SITE RULES
Site is open to Ellington residents only.
No commercial disposal allowed.
Residents must unload their own items from their vehicles.
Residents must de-bag their own yard waste if brought in bags/containers.
Yard waste must be clean and free of debris prior to disposal.
Brush must be piled neatly when unloading. Cut ends should be facing outward in the designated area.
Brush must not exceed 4 inches in diameter, or 10 feet in length.
Any material that is not decomposable will NOT be accepted. This includes but is not limited to: stones, gravel, concrete, asphalt, landscaping timbers, tree stumps, shrubs or trees with root balls, food waste and/or garbage.
All wire, metal and plastic must be removed from brush and compost before disposing at yard waste site (i.e. wreaths, Christmas lights, plastic bags, etc.)
